What is Thrive Group?

The Thrive Group is an innovative service organization. Thrive provides a healthy living experience that meets service, safety and care requirements in environments designed for people with unique needs. Through our network of organizations, we offer a wide range of integrated services that enable our clients to live fulfilling lives and as independently as possible.


Who are the members of Thrive Group?

Thrive's founding members are AbleLiving Services (an independent living organization) and St. Peter's Residence at Chedoke (a long term care facility). Discussions are underway with other prospective organiztions.

What benefits does Thrive Group offer organizations?

Thrive Group organizations operate independently but collaborate with other organizations in the network to provide the broadest possible range of services to clients. Benefits include improved client service, more efficient use of resources and lower cost of service delivery. Organizations of Thrive Group are able to take advantage of operational synergies in the areas of human resources, financial services, information technology support and overall administration. They are able to share resources and expertise as required and focus resources on the pursuit of new and more innovation approaches to the services required by clients.

What is AbleLiving Services at Thrive Group?

AbleLiving Services is a not-for-profit organization that opened over 35 years ago that provides independent living support for adults with disabilities. Our clients direct and customize the services they receive. We support them in finding solutions that they want and that meet their needs.

AbleLiving provides services and resources in Hamilton, Burlington, Stoney Creek, Niagara, and Mississauga. Regardless of the location, clients direct and customize the services they receive to ensure independence and quality of life.

What is St. Peter's Residence at Chedoke at Thrive Group?

St Peter's Residence at Chedoke is a not-for-profit 210 bed long term care residence located on the west mountain in Hamilton.

St. Peter's Residence at Chedoke develops and delivers care plans customized to meet clients' unique needs. Registered staff are on-site 24 hours a day. St. Peter's has a team of on-site physicians but clients may continue to see their personal physician if the physician is agreeable.

Recreation at the Residence:

St. Peter's Residence at Chedoke offers a range of daytime, evening, and weekend recreation programs. Upon admission, each resident is individually assessed and asked (with the family input where required) to identify their social history and leisure interests. The recreation team works with each resident and plans programs based on individual interests, needs and abilities. The goal of our programs is to maintain and enhance the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional wellness of our residents and improve their quality of life on a daily basis. We encourage and welcome family members to participate in the many programs and special events offered, and also welcome program suggestions from residents and family members.
